AAMS with Neko Punch, Power Struggle, Say Bok Gwai, The Jumping Jacks

MONKEY KING RECORDS PRESENTS ADDITIONAL ASIAN AMERICAN MUSIC SHOWCASE IN SAN FRANCISCO
The Asian American Musician Showcase (AAMS) is a music series produced by Monkey King Records to promote awareness of local Asian American musicians. The AAMS has it's final show of 2007, December 13, 2006 at the Rock It Room for AAMS #11! Again the AAMS presents the diversity of musical styles in the Bay Area. This showcase reflects bands with Asian American perspectives distinctive to the San Francisco Bay Area.
Conceived and created by San Franciscan musician, Alex Yeung, this musical showcase is like no other in the San Francisco Bay Area, presenting original Asian musical acts and performers each representing a different genre of music which includes – rap, pop, electronica, hardcore/thrash, folk, punk, funk, metal and a many more. From Korean folk music to Cantonese Hardcore there is something for everyone in this ongoing musical showcase. Alex Yeung and Monkey King Records have gone to extensive lengths to collect and showcase some of the most representative bands of Asian culture, influence and perspectives.

Neko Punch – Neko Punch is the SF jpop alternative! Neko Punch mixes the pop stylings of japanese pop and mixes it with the ingredients of all cool music (80s new wave/punk, 70s rock/soul, and even hard rock). Neko Punch is cute, cool, sexy and can rock hard when it wants to and can be funky when it wants to.

Opening Band
Power Struggle - Power Struggle is Nomi on voice and Dj B-Boy Rob as Dj for all Power Struggle performances. Power Struggle combines the words of interpersonal and political and old school beats to form a force that has to be experience live.

Say Bok Gwai - Original "Canto-core" Metal.punk.hardcore.thrash duo with Canto/English singing. Stickin it to "the man" in Chinese.

The Jumping Jacks – Local Pinoy rockers making music that is powerful and melodic pop/neu metal band. Friends that rock hard and play hard. A special CD pre-release show will feature the premiere of new material that has not been played live yet!
