I’ve heard many negative comments about this comic strip, but it wasn’t intended to be funny. It’s social commentary on Asian American issues. Being in comic book form makes it easily digestible for all audiences. I’m glad there are more Asian American comic strip artists/authors out there now. I think this guy has potential.
This comic sucks. Why make it a comic strip format when there’s no COMIC elements involved. He might as well just write an essay. There’s a lot more asian american cartoonists who are better out there. Just check out http://www.jamesmarstudio.com/aasarg/artists.html
I’m surprised that this man is being praised for his open racism.
It’s ok to be racist unless you are of European descent.
So suddenly white people are all perverted, dorky, and racist individuals? Having an asian ethnic background is insulting? As an ASIAN AMERICAN who is part German, I feel somewhat offended by this comic. If you want racial insight, read Eric Liu’s “The Accidental Asian” instead of this racist bullshit.
