APAture 2007: A Window on the Art of Asian Pacific Americans

An explosion of visual art, film, words, and performance from the most promising APA talent of the SF Bay Area
The largest and most dynamic arts festival showcasing over 100 emerging Asian Pacific American visual artists, musicians, writers, filmmakers, and performers returns to San Francisco’s Mission District September 18-29, 2007, at nine venues in San Francisco’s Mission District and Chinatown/Manilatown.
Featured Artists include writer and editor Joel Barraquiel Tan, choreographer/dancer Jesse Bie and Steamroller Dance Company, playwright and performer Prince Gomolvilas, cartoon artist Lark Pien, visual artist Misako Inaoka, filmmaker Emiko Omori, singer-songwriter Goh Nakamura, and many more.
APAture 2007 also features an offering of various arts- focused workshops, including theater writing with Philip Kan Gotanda, linoleum block printing with Patricia Wakida, crafting your own arts project with Rene Yung, and Blogging 101 with Glenda Bautista.
