From art-house classics to documentary films, from innovative and experimental visions to next-level Bollywood: 3rd I is committed to promoting diverse images of South Asians through independent film. We showcase films from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan, the Maldives and the global South Asian Diaspora.

The fifth annual festival offers a range of films: From Ashim Ahluwahlia's surreal & singularly original documentary John and Jane - Toll Free to the side-splitting Loins of Punjab Presents (Manish Acharya); from the bittersweet tale of Unni (Murali Nair) to the Buddhist tale Sankara, from Sri Lanka. Tickets are $9 at the Victoria and Roxie, and $10 at the Castro.
